Topic: Have Faith, Not Fear [Sunday 31, July 2016]

“And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.” (Num 13:33)



Fear of failure when conceived, will bring forth failure. It all begins as a thought. Faith, on the contrary, produces success when conceived. Many believers have, out of fear, made confessions that have put a snare on them. Once they sneeze or feel a slight headache, they say, “I am afraid I will have fever’.

Some cannot progress in life because they are not nursing great thoughts within them; they have limited themselves in their minds. That is exactly what happened in the above scripture. The men of Israel nursed wrong thoughts, hence, their negative confession. Consequently, for forty years, three million people wandered in the wilderness.

They lost everything God promised them. David could defeat Goliath because his thoughts were right. He knew the power of God and focused all his thoughts on him rather than on Goliath. Your giant might look so formidable and your situation might seem impossible. Remember that the God we serve is not one that you can pocket. He is the Big One.
