A Nigerian state government has placed ban on prayers
The Cross Rivers State government has placed a ban on morning and afternoon devotions across all primary and secondary schools in the state.
READ:
Last week, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education in the state, the Mrs Anne Odey, wrote a letter to all schools across the state, both primary and secondary, ordering the suspension of morning and afternoon devotions.
Now do you think that this will affect the children minds over prayers or will they people in that state love this new law?
According to Mrs Odey, the directive came from the Commissioner of Police, Mr Henry Fadairo, as a result of prevailing security concerns in the country.
Many of the public schools in the state were established by Christian missionaries.
Now we need to know what you think about this new development as it might help in this kind of situation
