“And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost … tempted of the devil …” (Luke 4:1-2 )

Temptation is a strong force that determines your success or failure in life.

Every time you overcome temptation, you succeed, conversely any time you allow temptation to overcome you, you fail.

Temptation is real and no human being is an exception. You have to know that temptation is not bad but to give in to temptation is a sin. Temptation is either going to make you or break you. When you give in to temptation it is going to break you. Jesus Christ was tempted by the devil three times but He didn’t give in to the temptation and that is what made Jesus Christ who He is today.

There are two types of temptations: temptation of flesh and temptation of life. Every human being on earth battles with these two types of temptation. You must overcome both in order for you to win the race of life. You cannot overcome the temptation of the flesh and leave the temptation of life to defeat you or vise-versa.
Always remember that as a Christian, God has promised a blessing to everyone that endures temptation; for when he is tried he shall receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised them that love Him.
