Deuteronomy 8:18 KJV
“But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”

Yesterday we looked at how God gives us money. And we determined that it is by all the abilities that are deposited in us. We considered these abilities the power in us to make wealth. However, our text did not stop at the point of getting the power to make wealth; it went further to say that the reason for all these powers or abilities is so that "He may establish His covenant which He swore to our fathers". And what was that? It was the covenant of reaching the entire world with His goodness, as was promised to Abraham; “And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” (Genesis 12:2-3 KJV)
We understand today that this blessing comes by the gospel of Jesus Christ. God wants everyone to hear the gospel, but they will only hear it when people are sent to preach it in places of the earth. Hear how Paul puts it in the book of Romans;
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!” (Romans 10:13-15 KJV).

There are preachers everywhere, there are people that have been called to do this work, but the missing link is with the senders. Sending is done by money. That is money on a mission right there. Part of the reason why God blesses us with money is so that we can send the gospel to the ends of the earth, by way of missionaries, radio, television, crusades, welfare and medical missions, prison and hospital missions, etc. All these cannot be done unless there is an empowerment from God's people. The gospel may be free but not cheap. It is very expensive to get it out there.
The message from God to you is that you should begin to see a part of your income as God-sent-provision for the spread of the gospel. When you give this part of your resources to the course of the gospel, you will see much more abundant flow of resources in Jesus Name.

Assignment
i. Determine today to set aside your tithes, offerings and mission support from your income. It is better done by percentages, no matter how small.
ii. Ask God for consistency in this practice.
iii. Promise God that you will not stop the practice even when the money increases in Jesus Name.

Prayer
-Lord please cause me to become soul-conscious in Jesus Name.
-Lord please entrust me with massive wealth so I can be a blessing to your church, your work and the least of the brethren out there in Jesus Name.

Part of the reason why God blesses us with money is so that we can send the gospel to the ends of the earth by all means possible.
