Manchester United have been given a boost ahead of Sunday's Community Shield clash with Leicester City after Chris Smalling returned to full training.
The defender was ruled out of the pre-season friendlies with Galatasaray and Everton due to injury, but looked close to full fitness as he joined team-mates in training on Friday.
Jose Mourinho is expected to have a full strength side available for the traditional season curtain raiser at Wembley and the Red Devils looked in high spirits ahead of the game.

The likes of Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic took part in football tennis in a session watched by Mourinho ahead of the Premier League season which begins in eight days.
Having already signed Eric Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, United still hope to add Paul Pogba to their ranks before the start of the new season.
The Red Devils open up their top flight campaign against Bournemouth as they look to win the title for the first time since 2013.

Under Louis van Gaal last term they finished a disappointing fifth last - missing out on the Champions League - but keeper David de Gea is confident his side can improve this term.
'We feel that [it could be a special campaign],' De Gea said.
'We feel really strong with the new manager and new players, they're really top players and I think this is going to be a great season.'
