Topic: Lift Up Your Eyes [August 1, 2016]

“And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mon-re: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day” (Genesis 18:1).
Abraham sat at the tent door in the heat of the day because of problems. Abraham had a dream, but the heat of the day had put a tag of delay on it until he “lifted up his eyes” (Gen. 18:2). As soon as he lifted up his eyes, he saw two men. He jumped up and ran towards them. He did that because he was able to analyze spiritual information that one of them was Jesus Christ and he bowed down before them accordingly. Abraham pleaded: “…My LORD, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant” (Genesis. 18:3). No wonder the Bible says, “…but among the righteous there is favour”. (Proverbs. 14:9).

When Abraham was assured that he had been favoured, he offered them food. The two men accepted. Can you image that God ate in the house of a human being? After the meal, Jesus told Abraham: “… I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son…” (Genesis 18:10a).

You have probably been carrying a dream that is delaying to manifest. If you believe, your dream will manifest. You are going to give birth to your break – through and to your dream. The bible tells us that Sarah laughed at God’s promise. In the same vein, you may have given up your dream. The God asked Abraham: “Is anything too hard for the LORD?…” God is asking you the same question. Pick up your dream now!

It will be wise for you to understand what the spirit of God is teaching you through these scriptures and act upon them. Your correct analysis of spiritual information will definitely help you recognize and utilize your opportunity profitably.

Favour comes from understanding. Understanding comes from being God’s friend. You are God’s friend when you do what He says you should do.
