THE FAITH OF JOSEPH

Genesis 41:14 KJV
“Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.”


Whatever incident happened in the bible that produced a positive result, didn’t just happen; it had to be by faith. Dealing with God has to be by faith, else there is no deal whatsoever, because he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him diligently. Of course without faith it is impossible to please or impress God. Joseph did not come out of prison by merit but by faith. There were many things that Joseph did that eventually brought him out of prison, and they were all acts of faith. But today I am turning the light on just two of them.

Joseph didn't just pray to come out of prison, instead, he always kept a garment for the day of his release. He knew he would be out some day and he prepared for that day. Since faith is the evidence of things not seen, Joseph kept the evidence of his freedom, and that was the garment. What is the evidence of your soon lifting? Prove that God will soon bless you or change your status by giving like a blessed man. Buy that wedding gown, prepare the clothes of your coming children. Arrange a garage for your car, begin to take your driving lessons and then acquire a driver's license. You can even begin to talk like someone in that new job or office you are believing God for.
The second thing Joseph did was to shave himself, as a testimony to the fact that he was not coming back to the prison anymore. Apart from the fact that the Egyptians of his days hated bearded appearances, he also believed that he was not coming back to the prison. This was why he didn't appear as a prisoner before pharaoh. If he had done so, pharaoh would have seen him as one and would have sent him back to the prison after his brilliant answers to the king.
Think today and make faith-inspired steps and moves in Jesus Name.

-Lord please help me know and see my faith evidence in Jesus Name.
-I thank you for what you have already settled concerning my desires in Jesus Name.
