As the dab has continued to spread throughout football, it is worth a reminder that Lingard is synonymous with the dab goal celebration.

Lingard first showcased his dab dance when he scored for United in their 3-3 draw with Newcastle United in January.

According to Lingard, there are three rules to learn before graduating from Dab University The video shows Lingard teaching his United team-mates three simple rules. Step one is score, step two is drop to knees and the final step is put your arm out, bend elbow, head into arm and arm up.

After some lessons from Lingard, Borthwick-Jackson appeared to get to grips with the dab, while Fosu-Mensah continued to struggle.Borthwick-Jackson came out on top in the contest between the two young United players and became the latest and maybe the only footballer to graduate from 'Dab University'.

However, Borthwick-Jackson didn't appear the happiest of individuals and actually looked slightly embarrassed to graduate.

It's all well and good Lingard teaching the dab but doubts remain as to whether the United youngsters will have many chances to score goals, as they both play their football in defence for United.

To excite Lingard even more about the dab dance, United have been heavily linked with fellow dab dancer Paul Pogba.

Before the 23-year-old United player started performing the dab, Pogba had already made the dance known in Italy and Europe, performing the dab every time he scored for Juventus. In fact, Lingard actually saw Pogba performing the dab and knew he had to join in.
