Jose Mourinho couldn't hide his emotions as he and his Manchester United squad checked out of their Beijing hotel and headed for the airport after seeing their third pre-season friendly get cancelled at short notice. United were due to face rivals Manchester City in the Bird's Nest stadium earlier in the day, but the game was called off five hours before kick-off due to bad weather and the poor state of the pitch. Mourinho, who has so far overseen a 2-0 win over Wigan and a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Borussia Dortmund, appeared glum as he boarded the team coach and sat alongside his trusted assistant, Rui Faria, on Monday evening.
