Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka has come under fire, by a fellow clergy, Rt. Rev. Bishop Abraham Chris Udeh for his
Udeh said "It appears you people (the media) are afraid to tell Mbaka the truth. Why should he be working against Igbo interest and everybody will keep quiet. Even the Catholic Bishops do not want to call him to order. He is not talking prophetically. Is the Buhari he projected to succeed Jonathan working for the interest of Ndigbo Can't we reason That is the question we should ask ourselves."
Mbaka told the Biafran agitators that it was useless going out on the streets, adding that it might lead to their death.
He also said he will support Biafra, if those behind the agitation come out to protest with their children.
The deputy leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Uche Mefor, also lambasted the catholic priest.
Mefor referred to Fr. Mbaka as a "compromised priest speaking from both sides of his mouth."
The Igbo Conscience Group has also accused those loyal to former President Goodluck Jonathan of sponsoring the Biafra agitations.
